Cait Lawson — Simple Life by Choice; Gratitude for Surf & Sun, Consistency & Living Well

Episode Summary

I knew Caitlin as a cool, surfer girl almost ten years ago. And she still is; but what has changed is her confidence in claiming the life she wanted to create. And so she did. She pursued and has created an intentional, simple life in Puerto Rico and lives her choice in gratitude. As an athlete who grew up loving the waves in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, Cait started surfing with her Dad at age 8. Not until after an injury on her 21st birthday was she drawn to the physical practice of yoga. With a little encouragement, Cait said yes to yoga teacher training and experienced yoga and surfing as a powerful partnership. Today, she shares how her choices have created her life of simplicity and health and how choosing simplicity can be just as much work to cultivate as a life of complexity. Cait lives with her fiance and has drawn her parents into the lifestyle of Rincon. Her love for family, simplicity, and adventure are matched with her committed practices to live healthy, move daily and embrace being a contribution where she lives — which she mindfully shares she is a visitor and so thankful she’s been invited into the community. Social media platforms, as well as the online expansion through the pandemic, grew Cait’s perspective to teach yoga virtually. She has created and recorded classes for both The Salty Club App/online platform, as well as for RAD Roller's Mobility App. She is currently working on creating short pre-recorded classes available on her website, sunburntandsalty.com
